“Aquatio” is a widespread hotel, a receptive structure that consists of 35 rooms and suites that are located on a ridge of the Sasso Caveoso district of Matera, in the district called Conche dating back to the thirteenth century.
The 35 rooms have been expertly designed and furnished by the famous architect Simone Micheli.
The rooms structurally trace the ancient caves carved out of the tuff or are built on the ridge of the rock in masonry and wooden roof, as in the original dwellings, but are enriched with modern and functional technologies and furnishings, ideal for reliving these places in comfort and luxury
*Not all rooms have been carved into the tufa stone, some rooms are built in masonry with wooden roof.
